Leicester City showcased their promotion credentials with a 3-1 home win against Norwich, stirring up the Championship’s promotion battle.

Goals from Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, Stephy Mavididi, and Jamie Vardy propelled Leicester back to the top of the table, laying down the gauntlet for their rivals Ipswich Town and Leeds United ahead of their matches.

The match started with Norwich surging into the lead courtesy of Gabriel Sara’s keen form, scoring his fourth goal in as many games. The early setback seemed to ignite Leicester’s fighting spirit.

The Foxes levelled the scoreline at 33 minutes with Dewsbury-Hall’s header, marking his first goal since January and the 11th of the season. Dewsbury-Hall connected with Mavididi, who promptly sent the ball swirling into the far corner of the Norwich post.

A mistake by Norwich’s Sam McCallum almost gave Leicester another goal. After receiving a weak header, Daka lined up his shot but was unable to find the target.

Leicester dominated as the game progressed, and Mavididi eventually netted the second goal after the hour mark, leaving Norwich in a precarious position.

Norwich’s best chance came when Stacey found an opening but failed to capitalise, hitting the side net while Josh Sargent was well positioned in the six-yard area.

The game was sealed in the last moments of stoppage time when Vardy, fresh from the bench, found himself in possession of the ball after a blocked shot by Winks. Vardy, in his unerring style, shot a powerful, match-winning goal.
